Fathers Day Quotes

When you take a look at all the pages on the internet to search for  great fathers day quotes, it seems a little difficult to find the really positive quotes and sayings about fathers.

There are of course a lot of reasons for that.

One of them is that the role of the father has always been more distant. He had to take care of the family income, bringing the food home to the family and providing a secure shelter. 
That was the way he showed his love to his children, according to the more or less unspoken rules of society, almost up to today.

When I look around I am so happy to see that this pattern in the family has changed a lot, and the fathers of today are much more affectionate and caring, taking a much bigger part in their children's lives.

How his role has been, and I guess will still be in a lot of families is very well described in this quote:

Whereas the newer aspect of the father's role, or the way it would be great if it was, is seen from this quote:
